Postpartum Doula Training & Certification


Description
Complete this thorough training, as well as 40 contact hours and become a Certified Postpartum Doula.

Course Objectives:
-Students will gain an understanding of what a postpartum doula is and what their goals are.
-Students will learn the differences and similarities between doulas and Newborn Care Experts, as well as understand baby care vs. Family care.
-Students will learn how to support the family as a unit.
-Students will be guided through how doulas can recognize signs and support parents with postpartum mood disorders.
-Students will have a refresher on some newborn care and feeding support.

The course is taught by Annie Getz, an Advanced Newborn Care Expert and DONA certified Postpartum Doula, & Carole Kramer Arsenault, an RN specializing in obstetrics and maternal health.
